CMP State Match June 7th

 

CMP State Match June 7th – The CMP State Match at Magnolia RPC again this year on June 7, 2014. Firing positions will be decided the same as last year, by random drawing. Match fees for the State Match will be $15.00 and ammo available to those who want to purchase (except possibly .308). CMPSign up for the match at MSGO.

There will be three matches this year! The schedule of events will be as follows:

7:30 a.m. Sign up for the Vintage Match
7:45 a.m. Line will be called “hot” and competitors can bring gear to the line including rifles (muzzle up or cased until on the line).
8:00 a.m. Vintage Match begins (CMP Course B – 50 rounds + 10 for sighters)
10:00 a.m. Sign up for the John C. Garand Match
10:15 a.m. Line will be called “hot” and competitors can bring gear to the line including rifles (muzzle up or cased until on the line).
10:30 a.m. John C. Garand Match begins (CMP Course B – 50 rounds + 10 for sighters)
12:00 p.m. Break for Lunch.
1:00 p.m. Sign up for the Modern Military Match
1:15 p.m. Line will be called “hot” and competitors can bring gear to the line including rifles (muzzle up or cased until on the line).
1:30 p.m. Modern Military Match begins (CMP Course B – 50 rounds + 10 for sighters)

If you are interested in vintage or modern military/service style rifles, the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) HighPower Rifle Matches may be right up your alley!!

Participants engage a scoring ring target at 200 yards from the prone, sitting, and standing positions. A sling may be used for support in the prone and sitting firing positions. Rifle optics is not permitted but spotting scopes are allowed on the firing line. All military/service style rifles, to include the AR-15, are permitted regardless of country of origin. Course of fire includes 10 sighter rounds and 50 rounds fired for score. For more detailed information check the CMP Match Rules.
