Memorial Day Weekend

 

This year Memorial Day falls about 9 years after the lives of 4 brave men from C/1-155th Infantry lost their lives in Haswah, Iraq.

May 23 2005: Army Pfc. Bryan Edward Barron, 26, Biloxi, Miss.; Army Spc. Audrey Daron Lunsford, 29, Sardis, Miss.;¬†Army Spc. Danny Varnado, 23, Saucier, Miss.;Army Sgt. Saburant Parker, 43, Foxworth, Miss.; killed when an explosive detonated in Haswa; National Guard’s C Company, 1st Battalion, 155th Infantry, Biloxi, Miss.

Staff Sergeant Sabarant "Sabot" Parker, Corporal Audrey D. Lunsford, Specialist Daniel R. Varnado, and Private First Class Bryan S. Barron, on May 23rd were subjected to a Pressure Sensitive Improvised Explosive Device, where all four were killed. A Memorial Service was held in their honor
